Who we are

Macedonian Association of Rescuers in Ski Resorts

MZSS is a volunteer and non-profit organisation founded in 2023, dedicated to safety and rescue in winter conditions at Macedonian ski resorts.

Our team consists of trained rescuers who respond to incidents at ski resorts across the country. We regularly organise training sessions, drills and educational activities to raise capacity and improve rescue standards.

Through our work we strive to create a safe environment for all winter sports enthusiasts.

Safety

Our primary goal is to provide a safe environment for skiers and visitors through fast and expert intervention.

Education

Continuous training in first aid, cable car evacuation and field operations for every member of the team.

International cooperation

Full member of FIPS — Federation of International Ski Patrols, applying the highest global standards.

Member of FIPS

MZSS is a full member of the Federation of International Ski Patrols (FIPS), following and applying the highest global standards in mountain rescue and ski patrol.

FIPS membership gives us access to international training, exchange of experience with leading ski patrols worldwide and the establishment of unified intervention protocols.
